Texas Hyperscale AT Data Center

Siting a nearly 500 MW power plant for a hyperscale AI datacenter in Texas isn’t a project for the faint of heart. The client needed massive generation capacity, complete grid independence, and the flexibility to house it all across a campus-scale footprint. E-Finity was engaged to turn that requirement into a buildable engineering design.

The plant is sized at 495 MW, powered by 66 medium-speed reciprocating engines at 12.5 MW each, distributed across three discrete powerhouse buildings. Like its East Coast counterpart, the facility is designed to operate at 99.999% availability with zero dependence on the utility grid, a hard requirement given the critical nature of AI compute workloads that can’t tolerate an unplanned outage.

E-Finity’s scope on this engagement is engineering design, providing the technical foundation for a project of this complexity and scale.
