The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Air and Marine Operations recently celebrated the unveiling of its newest operation location in Ceiba, Puerto Rico. The facility which sits on nearly an acre of land and will accommodate full-time staff to monitor international waters that extend to the south from Venezuela, west to the Dominican Republic and southeast to the Lesser Antilles. It runs on a permanent generator that features a pier and boat slips for the base’s vessel fleet. E-Finity got involved in the engineering and installation of an onsite propane power plant that will be the primary source of power to the facility. The unit is expected to be commissioned during the second semester of 2022.
