UGI

In 2019, UGI opened a brand-new headquarters building located in Denver, PA which houses 350 employees for the company. As part of contributing to an energy efficient building, UGI implemented two Capstone C65 microturbines and a 50-ton absorption chiller in a combined cooling, heat, and power (CCHP) system.

The waste heat from the microturbines is recovered to produce hot and chilled water for year-round heating and cooling at the facility. Additionally, the system provides back up power in the event of a grid failure.
