The FMC Tower provides Philadelphia's first Vertical Neighborhood which is home to a stunning high-rise residence and extended-stay corporate suites, unparalleled amenities, an all-day café, and bright, open, and inspired workspaces overlooking the entire city. During construction of the 2.7 million square foot tower two Capstone microturbines were installed to meet energy and sustainability goals of the company. The microturbines generate electricity for the building while meeting 100% of the domestic hot water demands. The project not only offers significant energy savings but also contributes to the building’s LEED Gold status, thanks to the efficiency and low emissions of the microturbines.
