Chevron Bryan Well Production site in Proctor, West Virginia struggled to get reliable power from the grid to the remote location of the site. In November 2012, E-Finity Distributed Generation implemented a project to install a Capstone C30 microturbine with their proprietary PLC Control system for energy generation. This replaced the need for an electric utility power line which was not feasible economically. The microturbine runs on wellhead gas to provide power for the facility, which depends on Capstone 24/7 to operate. This saved the company $100,000 and up to six months of construction time.
